Our prediction for this Championship match:
There will be fireworks when Nottingham Forest and Derby County face each other at the City Ground in the East Midlands derby. The Reds quickly bounced back from back-to-back losses to Wigan and Hull City, with the team regaining a much-confidence. The hosts head into the local derby in high spirits, and they are likely to take advantage of the fact that Rams struggle on the travels.
Derby County are on a six-game winless run on the road in the Championship, which makes them underdogs in the East Midlands derby. In their last meeting at the City Ground, Yohan Benalouane’s goal helped the Reds win the derby, which is yet another reason why we are tempted to put our money on Sabri Lamouchi’s troops. A man to keep an eye on in the home team will be experienced attacker Lewis Grabban, who scored his sixth goal of the season in a 2-1 win at Luton Town on Matchday 15.

Highlighted Player (Sammy Ameobi):

Sammy Ameobi is the younger brother of a famoust Newcastle United player Shola. Sammy is a product of Newcastle United football academy as well and he scored two goals in 56 appearances for the first team. The pacey attacker played for the likes of Middlesbrough, Cardiff City and Bolton Wanderers on loan in the past before signing a permanent deal with the Trotters on July 14, 2017.
Sammy Ameobi was born in Newcastle upon Tyne on May 1, 1992, but he has two caps for Nigeria U20 team. The left-footed footballer played for the England U21 team as well, but he has yet to make his senior debut for the Three Lions. Ameobi’s main position is centre-forward, but he is capable of playing as a winger as well.
Sammy Ameobi made his Bolton debut on September 3, 2016 against Southend and it has to be noted that he scored two goals in 20 appearances for the club in the 2016/2017 League One campaign. At the end of the season Bolton were promoted to the Championship.
Highlighted Team (Derby):

Derby County is one of the 12 founder members of the Football League. However, nowadays the Rams compete in the Championship and they play their home matches at Pride Park Stadium. Derby County have won the two trophies in the English top flight (1971/1972, 1974/1975), with the team lifting the FA Cup trophy just after the World War II (1946).
Derby’s main rivals are Nottingham Forest, Leicester City and Leeds United, but the rivalry between Forest and Derby is regarded as the biggest one.
The two teams take on each other in the East Midlands derby. The colour of Derby’s shirts is white, whilst their shorts are black. It has to be noted that the club was founded in 1884 by William Morley. The Rams competed in the European competitions four times, but they did not record a notable result in the European Cups. The club’s chairman is Mel Morris.
