Our prediction for this World Cup 2026 match:
Czech Republic will be aiming to build on a come-from-behind win over Estonia (6-2) when they take on Belgium in the Group E derby. The Czechs impressed in their opener, but the Red Devils will pose a much bigger threat for them than their previous rivals. A man to keep an eye on in the home team will be West Ham United midfielder Soucek, who scored a hat-trick against the Estonians.
Belgium did well to beat Wales 2-1 in the opening match of their 2022 World Cup qualifying campaign. Even though Real Madrid superstar Eden Hazard remains sidelined with injury, we are positive that Romelu Lukaku and Co. will find the net in Saturday’s showdown. Given Czech Republic’s attacking potential, punters can find value in betting on both teams to score. When the two teams met in Prague 12 years ago Czech Republic defeated Belgium 3-1.

Tomas Vaclik is the Czech Republic international goalkeeper who has been with FC Basel since 2014. Having begun his professional career in Vitkovice, the 27-year-old shot stopper also played for Viktoria Zizkov and Sparta Prague before he moved to Switzerland.

He played a massive role in his team’s back-to-back title challenges and has gone to extend his contract with Basel as a reward, a contract that will keep him with the Swiss club until 2021.
Highlighted Team (Belgium):
Present on the international stage since 1904, Belgium national team have had plenty of ups and downs in the past, finishing as runners up at the 1980 European Championship in Italy. The Red Devils also won the third place on home soil at the 1972 tournament, while they enjoyed some success at the World Cup finals as well.
Belgium qualified for 12 World Cup tournaments, reaching the semi-finals in 1986 and quarter-finals at the 2014 tournament in Brazil. It is the generation that played in Brazil that is believed to be the most talented team since the one featuring Enzo Scifo, Michel Preud’homme and Franky van der Elst.
Playing their home games at King Baudouin Stadium, the Red Devils have impressed at the start of the 21st century, with the likes of Eden Hazard, Vincent Kompany, Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne just some of the world-class players in the squad. Following some impressive results in the Euro 2016 qualifiers and international friendlies, Belgium climbed to number 1 position in the FIFA Rankings in November 2015.
