Our prediction for this FA Cup match:
All eyes will be on Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium when Queens Park Rangers and Swansea City take on each other in an all-Championship game in the FA Cup round 3. The Hoops have been struggling to find their best for min the Championship of late, but the game against Swansea City could be the turning point for the capital club. QPR have been scoring goals for fun in front of home fans this season, and we predict that they are going to find the net in Sunday’s FA Cup clash.
The 2019/2020 Championship campaign has been a mixed bag for the Swans, who sit in the middle of the standings ahead of the trip to London. The Welsh outfit have been having their ups and downs in the English second tier of late, but given QPR’s current form, we predict that the visitors are capable of grabbing something from the match.
Highlighted Player (Joe Lumley):
Born on the 15th of February, 1995, Joe Lumley is an English footballer who plays as a goalkeeper. His youth career started at Tottenham's academy, whom he left in 2010 to join Queens Park Rangers, where he signed his first professional contract. The 6ft 5 inches tall keeper's time at the club has mostly involved loan spells at clubs like Bishop Stortford, Accrington Stanley, Morecambe, Stevenage, Bristol Rovers, and Blackpool.
Lumley made his non-league debut on the 7th of March, 2014, playing for Stortford in a 1-1 draw against Tonbridge Angels. His first Football league appearance, meanwhile, came playing for Stanley against Bury on the 30th of August, 2014. Though his Stevenage and Morecambe periods were mostly forgettable, Lumley followed up with a fruitful six-month spell at Bristol, which started on the 7th of January, 2017. He made 17 appearances and kept eight clean sheets for the club, before returning to QPR at the end of the season.
The Rangers then sent him out on loan again during the 17/18 season's winter transfer window to Blackpool but recalled him in April due to a shortage of players. The 24-year-old has since remained with the club.
