Our prediction for this League 1 match:
Gillingham and Peterborough United face each other at Priestfield Stadium in what is expected to be one of the most entertaining games of Saturday’s program. Gillingham have been having their ups and downs in the 2019/2020 League One campaign and, as a result, they sit in 15th position in the standings. The Gills did well to beat Southend United 3-1 in their last home game in the English second tier, but defeating Peterborough United is easier said than done.
The Posh have been scoring goals for fun in the League One of late and seeing that a win over Gillingham could see them climb to top two in the standings, we are tempted to put our money on the visitors. In their last meeting at Priestfield Stadium Peterborough United outplayed Gillingham 4-2, which is yet another reason why away win should be considered.
Highlighted Player (Ousseynou Cisse):

Born in Suresnes, France on April 7, 1991, Ousseynou Cisse is a defensive midfielder who plays for Gillingham in the League One. After spending his youth career at Jouy-le-Moutier, Paris Saint-Germain and Amiens, Cisse continued playing for les Licornes at senior level, making 36 league appearances for the club.
The 195-cm-tall footballer played for the likes of Dijon, Rayo Vallecano, Wassland-Beveren (loan), Tours and Milton Keynes Dons as well before signing a deal with League One side Gillingham in the summer of 2019.
Ousseynou Cisse joined the Gills on a free transfer effective and he is expected to make his League One debut August 3, 2019, when Gillingham kick off the new season with a match against Doncaster Rovers at the Keepmoat Stadium. The French player is mostly used as a defensive midfielder, but he is capable of producing fine performances as a centre-back as well.
Highlighted Team (Peterborough):

Founded in 1934, Peterborough United are a professional club that competes in the League One. The Posh play their home games at London Road Stadium, the venue with the capacity of 15,314. Peterborough’s home colour is blue, whilst the colour of their away kit is blue. The Posh have the third kit as well where yellow and black are the dominant colours.
Peterborough United’s biggest success came in the 1964/1965 when the club booked their place in the FA Cup quarter-finals. Chelsea, though, proved to be a big catch for the Posh, beating them 5-1 in London. It has to be noted that Peterborough United made it to the Football League Cup semis in the 1965/1966 season, with the team losing to WBA in the two-legged tie.
The likes of Cambridge United and Northampton Town are considered the club’s main rivals. The Posh have built a rivalry with Huddersfield Town, with fans seeing MK Dons as rivals as well.
