Our prediction for this Segunda Division match:
Buoyed by a fantastic comeback in the Catalan derby, Girona will be looking to give fans yet another reason for celebration when they host Malaga at their Estadio Municipal de Montilivi. Mamadou Sylla returns from suspension for the hosts, while Ramalho has yet to serve his ban. Key attacker Stuani remains in the recovery room with injury, meaning that aforementioned forward Sylla is likely to lead the line for the hosts.
Los Boquerones, on the other hand, aim to bounce back from a heartbreaking 2-1 loss to Leganes. The Andalusians dropped to 13th position in the standings, and given Girona’s display in the come-from-behind win over Espanyol, home win should definitely be considered. Mohamed Benkhemassa is back from suspension for the visitors, but he is likely to start the game from the bench. In their last meeting in Catalonia Girona recorded a hard-fought 1-0 win over Malaga.
