Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Stadio Luigi Ferraris will host Sunday’s Serie A game between Sampdoria and Atalanta. The home side is rock bottom in the league. It comes into this game at the back of a six-game winless run. On the other hand, the away side has been having ups and downs so far and has established itself as the unpredictable team of the season. They have, however, scored more goals (30) than any other team in the league this season. Contrary to current situations, recent head to head fixtures between the two showcase Sampdoria's superiority.
The Blucerchiati have won eight of the last fifteen meetings between the two. Atlanta meanwhile, has won five of those fixtures. With just one victory this season, Sampdoria have had a woeful league campaign and are desperate for a positive result. Atlanta have that air of unpredictability around them, but they are proven goal generators. We believe the home side's poor form continues against an inconsistent but potent Atlanta side who, in turn, will fancy their chances and look to tighten their grip on the European sport they occupy.
