Ghana
Education City Stadium will host Monday’s World Cup game between South Korea and Ghana. The Koreans produced a fine display in a goalless draw with Uruguay, with the team keeping their third consecutive clean sheet in all competitions. As always, a man to watch in the home team will be Tottenham forward Son Heung-Min, who is likely to prove a handful for the opposition back-line. Paulo Bento is unlikely to make changes to the team that faced La Celeste.
The Black Stars, on the other hand, aim to bounce back from a 3-2 loss to Portugal. Korea defenders should have Andre Ayew at bay as the former Premier League ace is not getting any older. Ayew, though, is one yellow card away from suspension as well as Kudus, Seidu, and Inaki Williams. Anyhow, home win should be considered as Korea Republic’s performance in the draw with Uruguay was promising.
Highlighted Player (Heung-min Son):
Over the years Son Heung-Min has established himself as one of the best Asian footballers. Son is a Tottenham Hotspur first-team regular and he played a very important role in Mauro Pochettino’s team in the 2017/2018 Premier League campaign, scoring 12 goals, while making 37 appearances in the process.
The South Korean footballer, who is well known for his speed and a very powerful shot, was born in Chuncheo on 8 July 1992 and he began his youth career at FC Seoul. In 2008 he moved to Hamburger SV, but he made his senior debut for the Bundesliga club two years later. In 2013 he signed a deal with fellow German side Bayer Leverkusen and he scored 21 goals in 62 appearances in the Bundesliga for the BayArena outfit.
In 2015 he signed a five-year contract with Spurs for a fee of £22 million. Son Heung-min made his South Korea debut in a friendly against Syria in 2010.

Ghana are an African football team administered by Ghana Football Association. The Black Stars made their first ever appearances at the World Cup finals in 2006 and they were grouped with the likes of Italy, Czech Republic and United States. Ghana booked their place in the last 16, but they were outclassed by Brazil in the knockout stages of the showpiece tournament.
In 2010 the Ghanaians did remarkably well to make it to the quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup and it has to be noted that they were more than unfortunate not to eliminate Uruguay in the knockout stages of the tournament in South Africa.
The likes of Asamoah Gyan, Richard Kingson, John Paintsil, Emmanuel Agymang-Badu, Sulley Muntari, John Mensah, Andre Ayew, Kwadwo Asamoah, Harrison Afful and Abedi Pele are Ghana’s most capped players, but, no doubt, Michael Essien is the most famous footballer who played for the Black Stars. The Ghanaians play their home games in white shirts, while the colour of the team’s away kit is red.
