Our prediction for this Taca de Portugal match:
A place in the Taca de Portugal last 16 will be at stake when Rio Ave and Famalicao face each other at Estadio do Rio Ave on Saturday afternoon. Rio Ave booked their place in the last 32 by beating Moncao on the road, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry against Famalicao. Since the hosts failed to impress in a goalless draw with Boavista in the Primeira Liga, home win should not be considered.
Famalicao, on the other hand, did well to roll over Oriental Lisboa in their Taca de Portugal opener. Anyhow, a close encounter is on the cards at Estadio do Rio Ave, and we predict that the winner will be decided after extra-time. The likes of Coentrao and Junio are likely to miss the game with injury for the hosts, while Famalicao duo Vana – Queiros has been tested positive for coronavirus.
