Our prediction for this World Cup 2022 match:
After sharing the spoils with the likes of El Salvador and Canada, USA will be aiming to record their first win of their 2022 World Cup qualifying campaign when they take on Honduras at Estadio Olimpico Metropolitano on Thursday morning. Chelsea ace Christian Pulisic was sorely missed in the first two group games, and, to make things even worse for the Yanks, Barcelona right-back Sergino Dest suffered an ankle injury in the draw with the Canucks.
Considering that USA have been anything but impressive in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, away win should not be considered. Honduras, on the other hand, head into the match following back-to-back draws with Canada and El Salvador. Yet another close encounter is on the cards in San Pedro Sula, and we believe that there is a big value in betting on draw. Experienced attacker Jerry Bengtson is out of contention for the hosts.
