Our prediction for this World Cup 2022 match:
There will be fireworks when Iran and Iraq, the two neighbouring countries face each other at Azadi Stadium in the 2022 World Cup qualifier. Iran are leading the standings ahead of Thursday’s clash, and a win over Iraq will see them seal their place at the showpiece tournament in Qatar. Even though Zenit ace Sardar Azmoun has been struggling with injury of late, home win should be considered as Dragan Skocic’s men have been impressive in the final stage.
Iraq, on the other hand, are vying for third place in Group A, but seeing that Iran are a real force to be reckoned with at home, we do not believe that the visitors are capable of grabbing something from the match. When the two teams met in Doha earlier in the process Iran outplayed Iraq 3-0, which is yet another reason why home win should be considered.
