Our prediction for this World Cup 2026 match:
Cape Verde will be looking to overtake Nigeria in top position in Group C when they host Liberia to Estadio Municipal Aderito Sena. Cape Verde did well to beat Liberia in Accra on Thursday, with Olympiacos midfielder Garry Rodrigues scoring a late winner. The 30-year-old is pushing for a start, as well as Philadelphia Union man Jamiro Monteiro.
Liberia, on the other hand, aim to bounce back from the midweek defeat, but seeing that they are not regarded as good travelers, we are tempted to put our money on the Blue Sharks. The bad news for the hosts is that Aarau midfielder Allen Njie misses the match through suspension. Abraham Soumaoro is widely expected to replace him in the starting line-up. In the previous meeting between the two teams in Cape Verde the Blue Sharks emerged triumphant, which is yet another reason why home win should be considered.
