Our prediction for this World Cup 2026 match:
There will be fireworks when Chile and Argentina face each other at Estadio Zorros del Desierto in a highly-anticipated World Cup qualifier. La Roja are one point behind top five in the standings, meaning that Friday’s clash is of big importance for the hosts. Goalkeeper Gabriel Arias has been ruled out with injury, while Francisco Sierralta has been tested positive for coronavirus. Arturo Vidal misses out through suspension, but in-form Inter attacker Alexis Sanchez is likely to prove a handful for the opposition back-line.
La Albiceleste, on the other hand, aim to melt Brazil’s advantage in the standings. Argentina have already booked their place at the showpiece tournament in Qatar, meaning that the hosts want this win more than the visitors. To make things even better for the hosts, Argentina will be without superstar Leo Messi in Friday’s qualifier. The likes of Exequiel Palacios, Nicolas Dominguez, and Juan Foyth are sidelined with injuries.
