Uruguay will be aiming to seal their spot in the World Cup last 16 with a win over Ghana in their last group game. La Celeste suffered a 2-0 loss to Portugal on Monday, but their display against Cristiano Ronaldo and Co. was anything but poor. With no fresh injury worries to report, Diego Alonso is unlikely to make changes to the team that faced A Selecao, but Ronald Araujo remains in the recovery room.
The Black Stars, on the other hand, did well to beat South Korea 3-2 in their second group game, and, as a result, they are on point away from booking their spot in the knockout stages. Anyhow, away win should be considered as Uruguay’s performance in the defeat to Portugal was promising, especially in the second half. There are no fresh selection worries in the African side ahead of the decider.

After ending his loan spells with Mallorca and Almeria, Thomas Partey returned to Atletico Madrid in 2015 and he made his debut for Diego Simeone’s team in a 1-0 win over Espanyol. The Ghanaian footballer played in the 2015/2016 Champions League final against Real Madrid, coming as a substitute in the 116th minute of the game.
Thomas Partey made his Ghana debut in a 2-0 win over Mauritius in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match. His main position is defensive midfield, but the Atletico Madrid man is capable of playing as a central midfielder as well. Partey scored two goals for los Rojiblancos in the 2015/2016 La Liga campaign.
