Morocco
Morocco will look to cement top position in Group I when they face Guinea at Stade Adrar in Agadir on Tuesday evening. The Atlas Lions have been impressive under Vahid Halilhodzic in the 2022 World Cup finals even though the experienced tactician doesn’t count on Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech. Morocco faced no difficulties in a 3-0 win over Guinea Bissau, and it is no wonder the bookies see them as hot favourites to beat Guinea.
In-form Hatayspor attacker Ayoub El Kaabi is likely to prove a handful for the opposition defenders as he scored three goals in total in the previous two group games. Guinea, on the other hand, have drawn each of their first three qualifying matches, and seeing that they experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 2-2 draw with Sudan, away win should be considered. Young Boys defender Mohamed Camara is banned for the hosts.
Highlighted Player (Simon Falette):
Simon Falette is a professional footballer who was born in Le Mans, France on February 19, 1992, but he was eligible to play for both France and French Guiana at senior level. Falette decided to represent French Guiana on the international stage, but he has yet to make his debut for the national team.
The 184-cm-tall defender started his club career at Lorient, but he made only one appearance for the first team. After playing 41 games for Lorient B Simon Falette joined Laval on loan in 2012 and in 2013 he signed a loan deal with Brest.
At the end of the 2013/2014 season Simon Falette signed a permanent deal with the Stade Francis-Le Ble outfit and, after making 66 appearances in the league for the club, he moved to Ligue 1 side Metz. The defender scored three goals in 35 appearances for Les Grenats in the 2016/2017 Ligue 1 campaign. His main position is centre-back, whilst his preferred foot is left.

Morocco, the Atlas Lions, are the first African team to win a group at the World Cup finals. Back in 1986 the team managed to finish the group stages above Portugal, Poland and England, but West Germany proved to be a big catch for the Moroccan national team in the last 16 of the tournament.
The Atlas Lions participated at the World Cup finals on four occasions, but winning of the 1976 African Cup of Nations is considered the team’s biggest success. Morocco were producing outstanding displays at the tournament in Ethiopia and it has to be noted that they defeated Guinea in the title game.
Morocco play their home games at Stade Adrar and Stade de Marrakech and they wear red shirts and green shorts when playing in front of home fans. A number of top-class footballers played for Morocco in the past, but Mustafa Hadji is certainly the biggest star who played for the Moroccan national team.
