Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
Following a routine 2-0 win over Celta Vigo, Real Madrid will be looking to overtake Atletico Madrid in La Liga standings when they take on Osasuna at Estadio El Sadar on Matchday 18. Zinedine Zidane is doing a great job with the Spanish giants, but his men need to keep on improving their game if they are to defend the La Liga title. Sergio Ramos should recover in time to face Osasuna, with Nacho likely to drop to the bench.
Los Rojillos, on the other hand, recorded their last league win on October 24, 2020, but they have been showing signs of improvement of late. Osasuna did well to hold Real Sociedad in the Basque derby at the weekend, but given Real Madrid’s current form, home win should not be considered. Even though both Oier and Ruben return from suspension for the hosts, we are tempted to put our money on the reigning champions.
Highlighted Player (Roberto Torres):
After scoring 23 goals in 132 appearances for Osasuna B, Roberto Torres made his first-team debut on 11 December 2011. He came as a substitute in a 1-1 draw with Malaga, but he played no more than two league games for los Rojillos in the 2011/2012 La Liga campaign. However, he was making progress year by year and he made 42 appearances for Osasuna in the 2015/2016 Segunda Division campaign.
Roberto Torres is one of the players who helped the team secure promotion to Primera Division and it has to be noted that the midfielder scored 12 goals in the 2015/2016 season.
Roberto Torres’ contract with Osasuna expires in 2018. The 178-cm-tall player was born in Pamplona, on 7 March, 1989. His main position is attacking midfielder, but he is capable of playing as a central midfielder as well. He scored his first goal in Primera Division in a 2-4 loss to Real Madrid in the 2012/2013 campaign.
Highlighted Team (Real Madrid):
Real Madrid is a Spanish football club based in Madrid. Real Madrid participate in La Liga (Primera Division) and they have won 32 domestic titles. On the other hand, los Blancos have won 13 European Cup titles and that is the main reason why they are considered the biggest football club in the world.
Real Madrid play their home matches at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and the capacity of the stadium is 84,454. Cristiano Ronaldo is the club’s most successful footballer in the 21st century and the Portuguese superstar has won two Golden Ball awards.
The likes of Alfredo Di Stefano, Zinedine Zidane, Raul Gonzalez Blanco, David Beckham and Iker Casillas are star players who were part of the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu outfit in the past. Real Madrid’s bitterest rivals are Barcelona, but the rivalry between local rivals Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid is big as well. Real Madrid’s home kit is white and, as a result, the team’s nickname is los Blancos (the Whites).
