Our prediction for this Taca de Portugal match:
Estadio do Rio Ave will host the Taca de Portugal clash between Rio Ave and Estoril, the two teams who defeated Portimonense and Chaves respectively at the weekend. Mario Silva’s troops looked sharp in front of goal in the crushing of Portimonense, and it should come as no surprise they are seen as favourites to beat the Liga Portugal 2 side at home ground. Estoril, on the other hand, are on a three-game winning run in the league, meaning that they are high on confidence ahead off the trip to Vila do Conde.
Anyhow, we are tempted to put our money on Rio Ave this time out as Estoril’s main goal is to secure automatic promotion to the Primeira Liga. You should bear in mind that Rio Ave emerged triumphant in each of the previous three meetings with Estoril in all competitions.
