Parma
Lazio play host to Parma at their Stadio Olimpico in the Italian Cup last 16. The Biancocelesti are on a three-game winning run in the Serie A ahead of Thursday’s clash, with the team rolling over Roma 3-0 in the Derby della Capitale at the weekend. Simone Inzaghi’s troops must be high on confidence ahead of the visit of Parma, and regardless of which players will be deployed in the starting XI, home win should be considered.
The likes of Muriqi, Patric, and Akpa Akpro are all pushing for a start. The Gli Emiliani, on the other hand, head into the match following a 1-1 draw with Sassuolo. Parma showed character in their last league fixture, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry in the Coppa Italia game against the in-form capital club. Bastos started his senior career at domestic club Petro de Luanda and after scoring 6 goals in 105 appearances in the league for Os Tricolores, he moved to Russia in 2013, signing a deal with the Premier League side Rostov.
The 184-cm-tall defender proved his worth in the Russian top flight and, as expected, he decided to take a step forward in his career, signing a contract with famous Serie A team Lazio. Bastos failed to establish himself as a first-team regular with the Biancocelesti, but he plays an important role at the Angola national team. Bastos, whose main position is centre-back, made his international debut for the Palancas Negras on August 10, 2011 in a goalless draw against Liberia. His preferred foot is right.
