Our prediction for this Portugal Primeira Liga match:
After dropping two points in a goalless draw with Guimaraes, Benfica will be looking to return to winning ways in the Primeira Liga when they host Famalicao at their Estadio da Luz. The Eagles are 11 points behind league leaders Sporting CP, meaning that this has to go down as a must-win game for the hosts. Summer signing Luca Waldschmidt remains quarantined, while Almeida, Everton, and Jardel are all sidelined with injuries.
Famalicao, on the other hand, suffered yet another dip in form, with the team losing each of their previous there league fixtures. Jorge Silas’ troops have already suffered four defeats on the road this season, and given the importance of Monday’s clash for the hosts, we predict that the visiting team will return home empty-handed. Teenage midfielder Joao Neto should be the only absentee in the away team in the Estadio da Luz clash.
