Alaves
After surviving Real Betis at Estadio Benito Villamarin, Barcelona will be looking to keep their La Liga title hopes alive when they host Alaves at their Camp Nou. The Catalan giants showed character in their last league match, and, no doubt, they are high on confidence ahead of the visit of the Basque outfit. Leo Messi, who has been in a splendid form of late, is likely to prove a handful for the opposition defenders.
Centre-back Araujo, who suffered an ankle injury in the 3-2 win over Real Betis, is unlikely to feature against Barca. Anyhow, the Catalan giants are a real force to be reckoned with at home, and we predict that they are going to pick up all three points from Saturday’s football game. Alaves did well to beat Valladolid at home on Matchday 22, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry in the Camp Nou showdown.

Lionel Messi is regarded as one of the best players in the history of football. He was born on 24 June, 1987 in Rosario and he began his football career at Newell’s Old Boys. At age 10 he was diagnosed with a growth hormone deficiency, but having realized his potential at a young age, Barcelona decided to pay for his treatment.
Messi joined Barca in 2001 and he has been playing for the Camp Nou outfit ever since. The Argentine magician has won eight La Liga trophies with Barca and he helped the Catalan giants lift no less than four Champions League titles (2005/2006, 2008/2009, 2010/2011, 2014/2015).
In the 2011/2012 La Liga campaign Messi scored 50 goals for Barca, while netting 14 goals in the 2011/2012 Champions League campaign. The five-time Golden Ball award winner has established himself as Barcelona’s all-time top scorer, but he has yet to win a trophy with Argentina national team at major tournaments. Leo Messi, though, has won Olympic Gold Medal (2008) and FIFA World Youth Championship (2005), with la Albiceleste.

Alaves is a Spanish football club located in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Alava. The club were founded in 1921 and they play their home games at Estadio Mendizorrotza. The capacity of the stadium is 19,840 and it has to be noted that it is the third oldest stadium in Spanish football. After spending several years in the Spanish Segunda Division, los Babazorros returned to the top flight in 2016.
The color of Alaves’ home kit is blue and white and the club’s local rivals are fellow Basque sides Real Sociedad, Athletic Club, Osasuna and Eibar. Alaves made it to the UEFA CUP final in 2001, but they were beaten by Liverpool 5-4 in a thrilling football clash. Anyhow, that is still regarded as the club’s biggest success.
