Our prediction for this Championship match:
After failing to win the previous five league fixtures, Reading will be looking to give fans some cheer when they face Huddersfield Town on the last day of the season. The Royals must be low on confidence following a 4-1 loss at Norwich City, but they surely want to finish the season in great manner. All Semedo, Meite, Esteves, and Camara are pushing for a start.
The Terriers, on the other hand, did well to secure the Championship survival. Huddersfield aim to overtake Bristol City in 19th position in the standings, but seeing that Reading are a real force to be reckoned with at home, we do not believe that the visitors are capable of grabbing something from Saturday’s clash. All Jones, Kelly, Reid, and Sheaf have been struggling with injuries of late, and they are unlikely to feature against Reading.
Highlighted Player (Sam Baldock):
Sam Baldock is an English footballer who plays as a striker for Brighton. Baldock was born in Buckingham, England on 15 March 1989 and he began his senior career at Milton Keynes Dons. After spending six years at Stadium mk, Baldock signed a four-year contract with West Ham United on 26 August, 2011.
However, after failing to impress in the 2011/2012 campaign, he was sold to Bristol City at the end of the season. Sam Baldock scored 34 goals in 83 appearances for the club and in 2014 he joined his current club Brighton. The English attacker signed for the Seagulls for an undisclosed fee, which was believed to be in the region of £2m.
Sam Baldock has a contract with Brighton, which expiries on 30 June, 2018. It has to be noted that he represented England at the 2009 FIFA U20 World Cup in Egypt. His main position is centre forward, but he is capable of playing at both left and right back as well.
Highlighted Team (Huddersfield):
Back in 1926 Huddersfield Town became the first English club to win three straight domestic trophies. Since 1908 the Terriers were playing at Leeds Road, but in 1994 John Smith’s Stadium became home of Huddersfield Town. The club play in the English second tier (Championship) and the colour of the their home kit is blue and white (stripes).
Huddersfield Town were founded in 1910 and just three years later they entered the Football League. In 1926 the Terriers won their last domestic trophy, but they did well finishing runners up in the FA Cup 1920. The club’s biggest rivals are Leeds United and it has to be noted that Huddersfield Town have better head-to-head record of the two teams.
Bradford City are considered Huddersfield’s local rivals as well, but there are small rivalries with Barnsley, Halifax Town, Manchester City and Oldham Athletic. The club’s chairman is Dean Hoyle.
