RCDE Stadium will host Sunday’s football game between Espanyol and Tenerife, the two famous Spanish clubs. Los Periquitos did well to secure automatic promotion, while los Insulares are stuck in the middle of the standings ahead of the trip to Barcelona. The good news for the hosts is that key player Raul de Tomas should return to contention after recovering from coronavirus. Considering that Espanyol aim to put icing on the cake on a very successful season, we are tempted to put our money on the league leaders.
Tenerife, on the other hand, are stuck in the middle of the standings ahead of Matchday 41. Los Insulares failed to impress in a 1-0 loss to Mallorca, and seeing that los Periquitos aim to finish the season in great manner, the visitors are unlikely to grab something from the match. Tenerife midfielder Jacobo Gonzalez is likely to miss the game through injury.

Diego Lopez is a Spanish goalkeeper who plays for Milan in the Serie A. Lopez was born in Paradela on 3 November, 1981 and he played for Lugo during his youth career. He made two appearances for Lugo at senior level as well, but in 2000 he joined Real Madrid.
The 196-cm-tall shoot-stopper played for both Real Madrid C and Real Madrid B and he made just two appearances for the first team during his first spell at Real Madrid. After spending five seasons at Villarreal (2007-2012) the Spanish goalkeeper played for Sevilla in the 2012/2013 La Liga campaign, but he made no more than eight league appearances for los Sevillanos.
He returned to Real Madrid on January, 2013 and he quickly established himself as a first-team regular, replacing Iker Casillas in the starting XI. However, Real Madrid fans wanted to see Iker between the posts and, as a result, Diego Lopez was forced to join Milan in 2014. Lopez has only one cap for Spain national team.

Tenerife is a Spanish club based in the Canary Islands. Tenerife were founded on November 21, 1912, with the team playing home games at Heliodoro Rodriguez Lopez. The stadium was opened on July 25, 1925 and it can hold up to 22,824 spectators.
Los Insulares established them as the elite division club in the 1990s, but in 1999 the team suffer relegation to La Liga 2. Tenerife played in la liga two seasons more (2001/02, 2009/10), but they have been competing in lower leagues ever since. Los Insulares wear white and blue shirts when playing at home, whereas light green is the dominant colour of their away kit.
Tenerife participated in the UEFA Cup in the 1993/94 season, with the team eliminating the likes of Auxerre and Olympiakos before losing to Juventus in the last 16. Three years later the Spanish club did remarkably well to make it to the UEFA Cup semis. Las Palmas are considered Tenerife’s main rivals.
