Sunday’s football game at Estadio El Toralin pits together Ponferradina and Mallorca, the two top-table sides. Curro Sanchez is a Spanish footballer who plays for Ponferradina in Segunda Division. Born in La Palma del Condado on January 3, 1996, Sanchez began his youth career at Siempre Alegres, but in 2007 he was spotted by Sevilla scouts.
Curro Sanchez did not hesitate at all, signing a contract with the famous La Liga side. To make things even better for the Andalusian, he made his senior debut with Sevilla in La liga on May 4, 2016 in a 1-1 draw with Deportivo La Coruna. Curro Sanchez then joined Numancia, where he scored 13 goals in 34 appearances in Segunda Division for los Numantinos.
In 2020 he signed a deal with La Liga 2 side Ponferradina. Sanchez made his la Ponfe debut in a 2-0 win over Albacete on September 20, 2020. Even though right winger is his primary position, Curro Sanchez is capable of producing fine performances as an attacking midfielder as well.
