Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium will host Thursday’s football game between India and Qatar, the two teams who sit in the opposite halves of the table. India occupy 4th position in Group E, with the team still eyeing their first win of the process. The hosts failed to impress in a 1-0 loss to Oman, and we do not believe that they are capable of matching the Group E leaders at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium in Doha.
The 2022 World Cup hosts, on the other hand, will use the upcoming matches to prepare in the best way possible for the next year’s showpiece tournament. Considering that the game will be played in Doha, we believe that there is a big value in betting on Felix Sanchez’s troops. It has to be noted that India suffered a heavy 6-0 loss to United Arab Emirates in their last warm-up game.

Abdelkarim Hassan is a Qatar international who plays for domestic club Al-Sadd as a defender. Hassan is a product of Al-Sadd football academy, but it has to be noted that he played for Belgian side Eupen during the 2017/2018 season. The 186-cm-tall footballer has five caps for Qatar U20 and 17 caps for Qatar U23 national team respectively and he made his senior debut for the Maroons on November 18, 2010 against Haiti.
Abdelkarim Hassan was the youngest footballer to appear in the 2011 Asian Cup preliminary squad (17 years and 123 days old). Hassan scored one goal in six appearances for Qatar at the 2019 Asian Cup where the Maroons won the title thanks to a routine win over Japan in the final of the tournament. Left-back is considered his main position, but the Al-Sadd footballer plays as both left midfielder and right-back as well. His preferred foot is left.

Qatar national team played their first official international game on March 27, 1970, with the team losing to Bahrain (1-2) on the road. The Maroons suffered their biggest defeat to Kuwait in January, 1973 and 42 years later they recorded their biggest win against Bhutan (15-0). Qatar did remarkably well to win the 2019 Asian Cup, with the team beating Japan 3-1 in the title game. The same year the Maroons received a wild card for the Copa America.
Qatar were elected to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup as well. The Asian side are well known for their dark red shirts, whereas their away kit is white. Qatar are affiliated to both AFC (Asia) and WAFF (West Asia) confederations. Sebastian Soria is the most capped Qatar footballer and it has to be noted that he is still the team’s top scorer. The Maroons play their home games at various stadiums, but they are likely to play their 2022 World Cup opener at Lusail Iconic Stadium which can hold up to 80,000 spectators.
