Crystal Palace and Charlton Athletic face each other at Selhurst Park in what is expected to be an entertaining pre-season friendly. The Eagles quickly bounced back from a shocking loss to Stevenage, with the team beating Ipswich Town in their last warm-up game thanks to Wilfried Zaha’s goal. The pacey attacker will pose a big threat to Charlton defenders as well, while new signing Guehi is likely to make his Palace debut in the midweek friendly.
All Jordan Ayew, Jeffrey Schlupp, and Jean-Philippe Mateta should retain their spots in the starting XI as well. The Red Robins, on the other hand, head into the match following a 1-1 draw with Reading. Charlton aim to prepare for the new League One campaign in great manner, but seeing that Palace boss Patrick Vieira is going to field the best possible starting XI, home win should be considered.

Born in Kragujevac, Serbia on April 7, 1991, Luka Milivojevic is a product of his home-town club Radnicki Kragujevac. After making 17 appearances for the club in the 2007/2008 season, Milivojevic joined fellow Serbian Super Liga team Rad at the end of the season. The 186-cm-tall midfielder, who is well known for his brilliant long-range shots, played for “Gradjevinari” from 2008 to 2012 and then he moved to famous Serbian club Crvena zvezda (Red Star).
Luka Milivojevic scored seven goals in 36 appearances in the league for the capital club, but at the end of the 2012/2013 season he signed a five-year deal with Belgian outfit Anderlecht. During the 2013/2014 season the Serbian midfielder was on Olympiakos’ radar and he soon joined the Greek giants.
Milivojevic quickly established himself as a first-team regular at Olympiakos, but in January, 2017 the club chiefs decided to sell him to Premier League side Crystal Palace. It has to be noted that the Serbia international scored two goals in 14 appearances for the Eagles in the 2016/2017 Premier League campaign.

Charlton Athletic are yet another capital club that will compete in the 2019/2020 Championship season. Founded back in 1905, the Red Robins welcome their opponents at the Valley, the stadium which can hold up to 28,111 spectators. Charlton Athletic wear red shirts and white shorts when playing on home soil, whereas black is the dominant colour of their away kit.
Winning of the 1946/1947 FA Cup trophy is considered the club’s biggest success. The Red Robins defeated Burnley 1-0 in the title game, with Chris Duffy scoring the winner for Jimmy Seed’s charges in extra-time.
Fellow capital clubs Crystal Palace and Millwall are regarded as Charlton’s fiercest rivals, whilst Samuel Bartram, who made 579 appearances for the club is one of the most famous footballers who played for the Valley outfit. The club based in London will compete in the English second tier in the 2019/2020 season following a three-year absence.
