Newport County
Mansfield Town and Newport County face each other in a highly-anticipated League Two clash at Field Mill. The Yellows aim to build on a 2-1 win over Bristol Rovers where they took advantage of Paul Coutts’ sending off, but the game against Newport will be anything but a walk in the park for the home team. Both Johnson and Hawkins should keep their places up front after the duo helped Mansfield emerge triumphant in the season opener.
The Exiles, on the other hand, did well to beat Oldham Athletic on the road in the opening match of the season. Matthew Dolan, who limped off with injury in the triumph over the Latics, is unlikely to feature in Saturday’s clash, which is probably the main reason why we are tempted to put our money on the home team this time out.
