Our prediction for this Premier League match:
Liverpool will be aiming to kick off the 2021/22 Premier League campaign in style when they take on Norwich City at Carrow Road on Saturday evening. The Reds are on a quest to regain the domestic title, and they are likely to go all guns blazing at the Canaries. The good news for the fans is that Virgil van Dijk’s injury is in the past. Since fellow defender Joseph Gomez has overcome his long-term injury as well, we are tempted to put our money on Jurgen Klopp’s troops.
Left-back Andy Robertson should be fit for the season opener. The Canaries, on the other hand, are ready to lose their tag as a yo-yo club. Norwich City continue to rely on experienced attacker Teemu Pukki, who is widely expected to lead the line for the newcomers. Even though Daniel Farke should have a full squad to choose from, we believe that punters can find value in betting on Liverpool, who missed Virgil van Dijk last term.
Highlighted Player (Grant Hanley):
Grant Hanley is Scottish footballer who plays for Norwich City as defender. Hanley was born in Dumfries, Scotland, on November 20, 1991 and he started his youth career at Queen of the South. After ending his spells with Crewe Alexandra and Rangers, the Scottish player joined English club Blackburn Rovers, where he started his senior career.
After scoring eight goals in 183 appearances for the Riversiders in league matches, he moved to fellow English club Newcastle United in July, 2016 for an undisclosed fee. Grant Hanley, though, made no more than 10 appearances for Newcastle United in the Championship before joining Norwich City. The 191-cm-tall defender made his full international debut for Scotland against Wales on in May, 2011.
He scored his first goal for the Scotland national football team in a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Wales. His contract with Norwich City should expire on June 30, 2021.
Highlighted Team (Liverpool):
Founded back in 1892, Liverpool are one of England’s and world’s most famous clubs. The Reds hold a high-profile rivalry with Everton and there have always been fireworks when the two teams take on each other in the Merseyside derby.
The Reds welcome their opponents at Anfield and it has to be noted that they have already won 18 first division trophies. Liverpool were on the verge of lifting the 2014/2015 Premier League trophy, but Steven Gerrard slipped in the decider against Chelsea and left the Reds without a title.
Liverpool won one of their last Champions League trophy's in 2005, with the team coming from three goals behind to beat Milan in a historic clash in Istanbul. The Reds have clinched six European Cups and it is no surprise they are regarded as one of the greatest European clubs.
The likes of Steven Gerrard, Robbie Fowler, Paul Ince, Ian Rush, Graeme Souness, Sami Hyypia and Luis Suarez are some of the most notable footballers to have represented the club over the years. The club’s anthem is You’ll Never Walk Alone and their shirt colour is red.
