Northampton Town will be aiming to keep their 100% record in the 2021/22 League Two campaign intact when they take on Rochdale on Saturday afternoon. The Cobblers made a promising start to the season, with the team eyeing their third consecutive clean sheet in the process. Keep in mind, though, that defender Fraser Horsfall misses the clash through suspension. The Dale, on the other hand, are after their first win of the process.
The visitors failed to impress in the midweek defeat to Forest Green, and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Northampton’s party at Sixfields Stadium. Considering that the Cobblers kicked off the new League Two campaign in style, we predict that they are going to emerge triumphant in Saturday’s game. Rochdale attacker Jake Beesley is likely to miss the match through injury.

Joseph Mills is an Aston Villa product who plays for Northampton Town in the League One. Mills moved to Southampton in 2006, and he continued playing for the Saints at senior level. After ending his loan spells with Scunthorpe United and Doncaster Rovers, the pacey left-back joined Reading in 2011, but he made no more than 15 appearances for the Royals in the league.
After his short spell with Burnley, Joseph Mills moved to Oldham Athletic, and it has to be noted that he played for the likes of Perth Glory, Shrewsbury Town, and Forest Green Rovers as well before moving to Northampton Town.
Mills was born in Swindon, England on October 30, 1989, and he wears the No. 23 shirt with the Cobblers. His primary position is left-back, but coaches use him as a left midfielder as well. He has a contract with Northampton Town which should expire in June 2022.

Nicknamed the Dale, Rochdale are a professional English club that compete in the League One (English third tier). Rochdale were founded back in 1907, after World War I, with the team beating Accrington Stanley 6-3 in their first league game 14 years later.
The Dale wear blue shirts with black stripes and blue shorts when playing at home, whilst gray is the dominant colour of their away kit. Spotland Stadium is the club’s home ground, with the venue holding no more than 10,249 spectators. Bury and Oldham Athletic are considered the club’s fiercest rivals, but they have built up rivalries with the likes of Halifax Town, Burnley, Stockport County, Wigan Athletic and Accrington Stanley as well.
Back in 1962 Rochdale made it to the Football League Cup final, with the team facing Norwich City in the title game. The Canaries proved to be a big catch for the Dale, but this is still considered the club’s biggest success. It has to be noted that the Spotland Stadium outfit have three Lancashire Cup titles as well (1948/1949, 1970/1971, 2004/2005).
