Our prediction for this Championship match:
Tuesday’s football game at Oakwell pits together Barnsley and Luton Town, who face each other on day 3 of the new Championship campaign. The Tykes kicked off the new season with a 1-1 draw with Cardiff City, with the team beating Coventry thanks to Dominik Frieser’s goal. Barnsley aim to give fans yet another reason for celebration, but they will have to prove their worth on the field.
Important attacker Carlton Morris, who limped off with injury in the triumph over Coventry, has joined Andersen and Oulare in the recovery room. The Hatters, on the other hand, aim to bounce back from a 3-2 loss to WBA. Luton Town continue with their old habit of producing much better showings at home than on the travels, and even though aforementioned forward Carlton Morris is out of contention for the Tykes, home win should be considered. Defender Dan Potts is injured for the visiting team.
Highlighted Player (Patrick Schmidt):
Patrick Schmidt is an Austria international who plays for Championship club Barnsley as a forward. Born in Eisenstadt, Austria on July 22, 1998 Schmidt began his senior career at Admira Wacker. Three years later Patrick Schmidt decided to take a step forward in his football career as he signed a four-year deal with Barnsley. The full-of-pace forward scored eight goals in the 2018/2019 season for Admira and he is widely expected to shine with the Tykes in the 2019/2020 Championship campaign. It has to be noted that Schmidt played for Austria U16, U17, U18 and U19 teams.
The Barnsley attacker currently represents Austria U21 team in international matches. His main position is centre-forward, but he is used as both left and right winger as well.
