Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla will host Thursday’s La Liga game between Cadiz and Barcelona. In their last meeting in the Spanish top flight Cadiz managed to hold Barca to a draw at Camp Nou, and, no doubt, the Catalans are hungry for revenge. However, away win should not be considered as the Yellow Submarine impressed in a 2-1 win at Celta Vigo at the weekend. Juan Cala returns from suspension for the hosts, while all Akapo, Jose Mari, Garrigo, and Perea are out of contention with injuries.
Barca, on the other hand, continue life without Leo Messi, and seeing that Antoine Griezmann has been sorely missed at the start of the new season as well, we believe that there is a big value in betting on draw. All Alba, Fati, and Roberto should be fit for the match, while Aguero, Braithwaite, Dembele, and Pedri remain on the sidelines with injuries.

Alvaro Gimenez is a product of Elche football school who plays for fellow La Liga side Cadiz as a forward. Alvaro played for several Spanish clubs in the past, including Elche, Valencia B, Torrellano, Mallorca, Alcorcon, Almeria, before joining Birmingham City in the 2019/20 season.
After scoring only three goals in 24 appearances for the Blues in the Championship, Alvaro Gimenez returned to Spain at the end of the season, signing a deal with La Liga newcomers Cadiz. The Spanish attacker made his debut with the “Yellow Submarine” on October 4, 2020 in a 1-1 draw with Granada. His main position is centre-forward, but he is used as both left and right winger as well.
Gimenez’s preferred foot is left, and his contract with Cadiz should expire on June 30, 2023. The Cadiz attacker has three caps with the Spain U17 team, but he has yet to earn a call-up for the senior team.

Barcelona’s local rivals are Espanyol, but the rivalry between Barca and Real Madrid is much bigger. The two La Liga giants face each other in “El Clasico”, which is considered one of the most exciting derbies in the world football. Barca are famous for their football youth school La Masia as well.
