Our prediction for this Segunda Division match:
Monday’s football game between Zaragoza and Huesca will bring down the curtain on day 9 of the new La Liga 2 campaign. Los Blanquillos are undefeated in the previous five league fixtures, but they need to start winning on a regular basis if they are to escape the relegation zone. Both Yanis and Serrano are pushing for a start, with Mesa and Zapater likely to drop to the bench.
Huesca, on the other hand, have been performing below expectations in the 2021/2022 Segunda Division campaign, with the team sitting in 11th place ahead of Matchday 9. Since los Azulgranas are not regarded as good travelers, we are tempted to put our money on Zaragoza, who have been showing signs of improvement of late. In their last meeting in the Spanish second tier Huesca emerged triumphant, meaning that los Blanquillos are hungry for revenge.
Highlighted Player (James Igbekeme):
James Igbekeme is a Nigerian footballer who plays for Zaragoza in La Liga 2 as a winger. Igbekeme’s primary position is central midfield, but he is capable of producing fine displays as a left midfielder as well.
The Nigeria international started his senior career at Portuguese club Ribeirao, and after scoring two goals in 43 appearances for Os Ribeirenses, he moved to fellow Portuguese outfit Gil Vicente. In 2018 he decided to move to Spain, signing a four-year deal with Zaragoza. The 170-cm tall footballer made his Zaragoza debut on August 19, 2018 in a 2-1 win over Rayo Majadahonda.
He scored his first goal for the club in a 4-0 win at Real Oviedo on September 8, 2018. Igbekeme’s preferred foot is left, and his contract with los Blanquillos should expire on June 30, 2023. The Zaragoza midfielder born in Lagos on July 4, 1995 has yet to receive a call-up for the Nigeria national football team.
Highlighted Team (Huesca):
Huesca are a Spanish club that compete in La Liga, the Spanish top flight. The club was originally founded in 1910, but in 1940 it was renamed Union Deportiva. In 1956 the club disappeared due to financial problems, but four years later Sociedad Deportiva Huesca was born. Huesca are well known for their blaugrana colors as their founding members were Barcelona fans.
The club welcome their rivals at El Alcoraz and it has to be noted that the capacity of the stadium is 5,500. Despite the fact that El Alcoraz can hold up to 5,500 people in December 2014 7,600 spectators watched the game between Huesca and Barcelona. Huesca will make their first ever appearance in Primera Division in the 2018/2019 season.
The likes of Leo Franco, Luis Sastre and Ruben Castro are some of the most notable footballers that played for Huesca. Real Zaragoza are considered Huesca’s main rivals, with the two teams facing each other in Derbi Aragones.
