Our prediction for this Championship match:
Middlesbrough and Preston take on each other at Riverside Stadium in the Championship round 19. The Boro aim to put an end to their four-game winless run, and they are likely to fight tooth and nail against the Lilywhites. Keep in mind, though, that all Andraz Sporar, Marcus Browne, and Dael Fry are out of contention with injuries, while both Martin Payero and Grant Hall are major doubts. Middlesbrough are after their fifth home win of the season.
Preston, on the other hand, suffered yet another dip in form, with the team losing to both Nottingham Forest and Cardiff City. The Lilywhites have been struggling at the back of late, and seeing that Middlesbrough produce much better showings at home than on the travels, away win should not be considered. Ben Whiteman returns from suspension, but all Olosunde, Brown, Wickham, Murphy, and Evans miss out with injuries.
Highlighted Player (Sam Morsy):
Sam Morsy is a professional footballer who plays for Wigan Athletic in the Championship. His full name is Samy Sayed Morsy and he started his youth career at Wolverhampton Wanderers. During his spell with Wolves he was spotted by Port Vale scouts and in 2008 joined the Vale Park outfit.

After playing 71 league games for Port Vale, Sam Morsy joined Chesterfield in July 2013 and on 30 march 2014 he participated in the Football League Trophy final. However, he did not help Chesterfield beat Peterborough United in the title game (1-3).
On 28 January 2016 Morsy signed a two-and- a-half year contract with Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed fee. Sam Morsy was born in Wolverhampton on 10 September, 1991 and he was father is Egyptian.
Highlighted Team (Preston):
Preston North End or Preston were founded in 1880. The Lilywhites or the Invincibles play their home games at Deepdale, the stadium that was built in 1875 and opened three years later.
In 1889 Preston won their first FA Cup trophy and they did well to beat Huddersfield Town in the final of the 1938 FA Cup final. However, the club’s biggest success came in 1889 and 1890 when they won back-to-back domestic trophies (First Division).
Preston have yet to win the League Cup title, but they were runners-up in 1888, 1922, 1937, 1954, 1964. Preston’s main rivals are Blackpool and the two teams square off against each other in the West Lancashire derby. In their first ever meeting in the West Lancashire derby (1901) Preston recorded a 4-1 win over Blackpool.
Burnley and Blackburn Rovers are considered Preston’s big rivals as well. The colour of Preston’s shirts is white and they wear dark blue shorts.
