Charlton take on Wycombe at the Valley in their first game of the year. The Red Robins aim to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to Plymouth, with the team eyeing their sixth consecutive win at home ground in all competitions. The capital club are eager to keep their playoffs hopes alive, and they are likely to fight tooth and nail against Wycombe. Both Kirk and Inniss are pushing for a start.
The Chairboys, on the other hand, aim to stay in top six. Wycombe head into the match following a 1-0 loss to Ipswich, and seeing that they are eager to return to winning ways as well, we are tempted to put our money on both teams to score. Born in Southend-on-Sea, England on April 25, 1994 Jake Forster-Caskey is a midfielder who plays for Charlton Athletic in the League One. Forster-Caskey started his both youth and senior careers at Brighton & Hove Albion and it has to be noted that he scored five goals in 67 league appearances for the Seagulls first team.
After spending a couple of seasons on loan at the likes of Oxford United, Milton Keynes Dons and Rotherham United, the English footballer signed a two-and-a-half year deal with Charlton Athletic in the winter of 2017. Jake quickly established himself as a first-team regular at the capital club, scoring 5 goals in 43 appearances in the 2017/2018 League One campaign.
However, he was out of contention for most of the 2018/2019 season with a serious knee injury. His main position is central midfielder, but he is capable of playing as both defensive and left midfielder as well.
