Our prediction for this League 1 match:
All eyes will be on Abbey Stadium when Cambridge United and Portsmouth face each other in the League One round 26. The U’s aim to make amends for a 1-0 loss to Rotherham United, with the team looking to put an end to their three-match winless run at home. Leo Davies, who missed the last game with injury, is rated doubtful for the first match of the year. The Pompey, on the other hand, aim to build on a 2-0 win over Morecambe.
Portsmouth are eager to book their place in the playoffs, and we predict that they are going to take advantage of Cambridge’s current form. Tired legs should not prove to be a big problem for the visitors, who have not been in action since December 11, 2021. When the two teams met at Fratton Park earlier in the process Cambridge United defeated Portsmouth 2-1, meaning that the visitors are hungry for revenge.
