Our prediction for this League 2 match:
Following a thrilling 3-3 draw with Stevenage, Sutton will look to return to winning ways when they take on Colchester at Gander Green Lane. Sutton have been scoring goals for fun of late, and they are likely to adopt yet another attack-minded approach. Forward Richie Bennett, who found the net in the draw with Stevenage, is pushing for a start. The U’s, on the other hand, aim to make amends for a 2-0 loss to Barrow.
Colchester, though, are not regarded as good travelers, and given their three-game losing run on the road, we believe that Sutton are going to pick up all three points from the postponed fixture. Both Hannant and Chilvers are pushing for a start as duo Welch-Hayes – Wiredu was anything but brilliant in the loss to Barrow. In the first half of the season Sutton defeated Colchester United 3-1.
Highlighted Player (Frank Nouble):
Born in Lewisham, London on September 24, 1991, Frank Nouble is a product of the Chelsea football academy. Despite spending his youth career at the capital club, he did not see any game action with the Blues at senior level. Frank Nouble started his senior career at West Ham United, but he made no more than 13 league appearances for the Hammers.
Nowadays, he plays for Colchester United in the League Two. Frank Nouble, who has eight caps with the England U19 team, made his debut with the U’s on August 4, 2018, in a goalless draw with Notts County. He scored his first goal with Colchester United on September 15, 2018, in a 3-0 victory over Cambridge United.
Nouble’s primary position is centre-forward, but he is used as both left and right winger as well. The 190-cm-tall footballer wears the number 45 jersey at Colchester United, and his preferred foot is right.
Highlighted Team (Colchester):
Founded in 1937, Colchester United are a professional football club that compete in the League Two, the English fourth tier. The U’s welcome their rivals at Colchester Community Stadium, the venue which has the capacity of 10,105 people.
Colchester United are well known for their blue kit, but white is the dominant colour of their away kit. The U’s have an official fans association known as the CUSA. Colchester supporters consider Wycombe Wanderers the club’s fiercest rivals, but the rivalries with Southend United and Ipswich Town are big as well. Colchester United did well to win the FA Trophy in the 1991/92 season, with the team clinching the Essex Senior Cup trophy in the 2009/10 season.
In December 1961 the U’s recorded their biggest win, with the team rolling over Bradford City 9-1 in the Fourth Division. Colchester United repeated the success 44 years later as they hammered Leamington 9-1 in the FA Cup round 1.
