Our prediction for this Bundesliga 2 match:
Merkur Spiel-Arena will host Sunday’s 2. Bundesliga game between Fortuna Dusseldorf and Aue, the two relegation-threatened sides. Fortuna desperately needed a win against Schalke, and they managed to get one, with the team regaining a much-needed confidence. The hosts are desperate to escape the relegation zone, and they should take advantage of Aue’s poor form. All Edgar Prib, Emmanuel Iyoha, and Adam Bodzek are out of contention with injuries.
The Violets are on a three-game losing run in the German second tier, and given their shaky defence, we believe that the hosts are going to emerge triumphant in the relegation six-pointer. Influential midfielder Soufiane Messeguem is banned for the visiting side, which is yet another reason why home win should be considered. The likes of Ramzi Ferjani, Ognjen Gnjatic, and Florian Ballas remain in the recovery room.
Highlighted Player (Alfredo Morales):
Alfredo Morales is an American football player who was born in Berlin on 12 May, 1990. The USA midfielder moved to Germany as a boy and he played for the likes of BSC Reinickendorf 21, Borussia Pankow, FC Concordia Wilhelmsruh and Hertha BSC during his youth career.
Morales played 81 games for Hertha II at senior level, scoring 11 league goals for the capital club. He made 20 appearances for the first team as well, but in 2013 he joined Ingolstadt on a two-year deal. Alfredo Morales was eligible to play for both Germany and USA, but he decided to represent the Yanks on the international level.
The 183-cm-tall midfielder made his USA debut on 29 January, 2013 against Canada. He came as a substitute 15 minutes before the final whistle. It has to be noted that Morales represented United States of America at the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup. His main position is central midfield, but he is capable of playing as both centre back and a defensive midfielder.
