Our prediction for this Segunda Division match:
Eibar will be aiming to retain top position in the La Liga 2 standings when they take on Burgos at Estadio Municipal de Ipurua. Los Armeros did well to beat Girona on the road, with the team moving one step closer to securing automatic promotion. Sunday’s game, though, is of big importance for the hosts as all Almeria, Tenerife, and Real Valladolid are breathing down their neck.
Key attacker Stoichkov, who scored the winner at Girona, will be the man to watch in the home team, while Exposito should miss out with injury. Defender Xabier Etxeita is banned for the match. Burgos, on the other hand, aim to make amends for a 1-0 loss to Real Oviedo. The newcomers want to stay in the playoffs race, but given Eibar’s form in 2022, we predict that the visitors will return home empty-handed. Defender Raul Navarro remains on the sidelines with a meniscus problem, speaking of the away side.
