There will be fireworks when Olympique Lyon and Lille square off against each other at Parc Olympique Lyonnais on Matchday 26. Les Gones played out a 1-1 draw with Lens at the weekend, with the team dropping to 8th place in the standings. Lyon are eager to return to winning ways as soon as possible, and they are likely to go all guns blazing at Lille. Moussa Dembele is back from suspension, while Cherki, Denayer, and Pintor continue to miss out with injuries.
Les Dogues, on the other hand, head into the match following a 1-1 draw with Metz. Considering that Lille head into the match following the Champions League encounter with Chelsea, we are tempted to put our money on the home side. After spending the 2010/2011 season at Manchester City, Jerome Boateng moved to Bayern Munich on 14 July, 2011. The 192-cm-tall defender joined the Bundesliga giants for a fee of €13.5 million and he has been playing for the Bavarians ever since. Despite the fact that his father is Ghanaian, Boateng decided to represent Germany on the international stage.
He has 15 caps for Germany U21 and represented Germany national team at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. The Bayern Munich defender produced a thrilling performance in the title game, preventing Argentine star Leo Messi from scoring. Boateng won the World Cup trophy with German and it has to be noted that he clinched his fourth Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich in the 2015/2016 season.
In 2013 he helped the mighty Bavarians win the Champions League trophy. Unlike Jerome, his older brother Kevin-Prince Boateng plays for the Ghanaian national team. The Bayern Munich defender has a contract with the Allianz Arena outfit which expires on 30 June, 2012.

Lille have been playing an important role in French football ever since they were founded in 1944. Les Dogues won their first domestic trophy in the 1945/1946 season.
Lille did well to win their second Ligue 1 title in 1954 and 57 years later they lifted their last domestic title. Les Douges finished the 2010/2011 season in top position in the standings, eight points clear of second-placed Olympique Marseille and it has to be noted that Lille attacker Moussa Sow won the Golden Boot (25 goals).
Lille are one of the two teams that managed to win three consecutive Coupe de France trophies (1946, 1947, 1948), but they have yet to clinch the Coupe de la Ligue title.
