Our prediction for this Championship match:
All eyes will be on Ewood Park when Blackburn Rovers and Queens Park Rangers face each other in the Championship round 35. The Riversiders were producing excellent displays in December 2021, but they do not seem to be at their sharpest ahead of the visit of QPR. Since key attacker Ben Brereton Diaz misses out with injury, home win should not be considered.
The likes of Tayo Edun, Ian Poveda, and Bradley Dack are sidelined with injuries as well. The Hoops, on the other hand, aim to climb to automatic promotion berth. Peterborough proved their worth in a 2-1 win over Blackpool, and they should take advantage of Brereton’s absence in the Ewood Park showdown. Defender Dion Sanderson is banned for the match, while all Lyndon Dykes, Lee Wallace, Jordan Archer, and Sam McCallum are out of contention through injuries.
Highlighted Player (Bradley Dack):
Born in Greenwich, England on December 31, 1993, Bradley Dack is a midfielder who plays for Blackburn Rovers in the Championship. Bradley Dack began his youth career at Charlton Athletic back in 2005 and five years later he moved to Corinthian. However, the English footballer started his senior career at Gillingham, making his league debut against Bradford City on August 18, 2012. 20 days later he scored his first senior goal as he found the net in Football League trophy clash against Crawley Town.
Before joining Blackburn Rovers on June 27, 2017 Bradley Dack played four games on loan for Braintree Town, scoring one goal in those league games. His main position is attacking midfielder, but he is used as both right and left midfielder as well. Dack once described himself as “free role behind two strikers”.
The Blackburn Rovers midfielder often finds the net and it has to be noted that he scored 16 goals in 36 appearances for the Riversiders in the 2017/2018 League One campaign.
Highlighted Team (QPR):
Queens Park Rangers are well known as QPR. The capital club was founded in 1886 and Loftus Road Stadium is QPR’s ground. Loftus Road Stadium was opened in 1904 and the capacity of the venue 18,439. However, it has to be noted that no less than 35,353 spectators watched the game between QPR and Leeds on 27 April, 1974.
The Hoops finished the 1975/1976 First Division campaign in second position in the standings, just behind champions Liverpool. This is considered the club’s biggest success, but Queens Park Rangers made it to the FA Cup final in 1982 as well.
QPR were beaten by fellow capital club Tottenham Hotspur in the title game, but they did well to lift the League Cup trophy in 1967. Queens Park’s main rivals are Brentford, Chelsea and Fulham, but other clubs based in London are considered QPR’s rivals as well. The colour of QPR’s shirts is blue and white.
