A spot in the Conference League quarter-finals will be at stake when Basel and Marseille face each other at St. Jakob-Park on Thursday. The Rotblau were beaten by OM at Stade Velodrome a week ago, meaning that they need to adopt an attack-minded approach in the second leg. Basel quickly bounced back from the Conference League defeat, with the team beating Servette 2-0 at the weekend, and they must be high on confidence ahead of the visit of Marseille. All Essiam, Padula, and Petretta continue to miss out with injuries for the home team.
The Ligue 1 side, on the other hand, aim to build on a thrilling 4-1 win over Brest. Marseille, though, are not regarded as good travelers, which is probably the main reason why we are going to put our money on draw. There are no fresh injury worries in the away team, but Turkey international Under could sneak into the starting XI.

After spending his youth career in Swiss clubs BSC Old Boys and FC Basel Timm Klose made his first-team debut for FC Thun during the 2009/2010 Swiss Challenge League campaign. The 193-cm-tall centre-back scored four goals in 59 appearances in the league for the Stockhorn Arena outfit and in May, 2011 he moved to Germany, signing a three-year deal with Nurnberg for a fee of €400,000.
After playing 45 games (league) for der Ruhmreiche Timm Klose joined Wolfsburg and he played for the Wolves from 2013 to 2016. In the winter of 2016 signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with Premier League side Norwich City, but and the end of the season the Canaries dropped to the Championship.
Despite being born in Frankfurt, Germany Timm Klose represents Switzerland on the international stage and it has to be noted that he made his full senior debut for the Swiss national team on August 10, 2011 in a 2-1 win over Liechtenstein. He represented Switzerland at the 2012 Olympics as well.

Olympique de Marseille are considered one of the best French football clubs. Les Olympiens won their ninth Ligue 1 title in 2010, but winning of the 1992/1993 Champions League trophy is seen as the club’s biggest success. Marseille defeated Italian giants Milan in the title game, with Basile Boli scoring the winner (1-0) in the Olympiastadion showdown.
It has to be noted, though, that the Stade Velodrome outfit were banned from defending the title in the 1993/1994 season after being involved in a match-fixing scandal. To make things even worse for the fans, the club suffered enforced relegation to the Ligue 2. Olympique de Marseille participated in the Europa League final on two occasions (1998/1999, 2003/2004), but they were beaten by Parma and Valencia respectively in the title games. OM’s home ground Stade Velodrome was opened on June 13, 1997 and the capacity of the stadium is 67.394.
