Our prediction for this Belgium Pro League match:
There will be fireworks when Genk and Standard Liege go head to head at Cegeka Arena in a highly-anticipated Jupiler League game. Genk suffered a 3-2 loss to title holders Club Brugge in their opener, but they have a chance to get back on course immediately. A man to watch in the home team will be summer signing Cyriel Dessers, who opened his goal-scoring account at the weekend, while Luca Oyen, who limped off with injury in the 3-2 loss to Club Brugge, misses Sunday’s derby.
The Red Devils, on the other hand, did well to hold Gent to a 2-2 draw in the opening match of the season. Standard, though, are not regarded as good travellers, and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Genk’s party at Cegeka Arena. To make things even worse for the visiting side, defender Alexandro Calut is banned for the match.
