Our prediction for this Scottish Premiership match:
Celtic begin their title defence with a home match against Aberdeen on Sunday afternoon. The Hoops quickly regained the domestic trophy, and they are now on a quest to clinch their 53rd Premier League title. The club chiefs did well to keep hold of key players in the summer transfer window, and as a result, the title holders are seen as hot favourites to win the season opener. Summer signing Alexandro Bernabei is likely to make his Premiership debut against Aberdeen.
The Dons, on the other hand, have been impressive in the League Cup of late, with the team beating all Peterhead, Dumbarton, Stirling, and Raith without conceding. Aberdeen aim to claim a major scalp at Celtic Park, but seeing that Angelos Postecoglou has a full squad to choose from, home win should be considered. Midfielder Connor Barron should be the only absentee in the away team.
