Our prediction for this Europa Conference League match:
Lugano will be aiming to build on a thrilling 4-1 win over Winterthur when they host Hapoel Beer Sheva to their Stadio di Cornaredo in the Conference League third qualifying round, first leg. Lugano quickly bounced back from a 2-1 loss to Grasshoppers, and, no doubt, they are brimming with confidence ahead of Thursday’s clash. A man to watch in the home team will be No. 9 Zan Celar, who scored a brace in the last league match, but the opposition back-line should have pacey winger Maren Haile-Selassie at bay as well.
The Israelis, on the other hand, did well to eliminate Dinamo Minsk in round 2, with the team winning both legs. Rotem Hatuel is likely to return to the starting XI after scoring two goals in total in the double-header with Dinamo, but seeing that Lugano impressed in the crushing of Winterthur, home win should be considered.
