Cluj and Maribor go head to head at Stadionul Dr. Constantin Radulescu in the Conference League playoffs, return leg. The two teams played out a goalless draw in Slovenia, and yet another close encounter is on the cards. Defender Nana Boateng suffered an injury in the first leg, with Karlo Muhar likely to step up. The Violets, on the other hand, had no more than nine goal attempts in the first leg.
Maribor often struggle on the travels, and seeing that Cluj are considered good hosts, we predict that Damir Krznar’s men are going to return to Slovenia empty-handed. A man to keep an eye on in the away team will be Austria international Marko Bozic, who scored a brace in the 2-2 draw with Celje. Anyhow, yet another low-scoring affair is on the horizon as both sides struggle in front of goal.

Guessouma Fofana is a footballer of Malian descent who plays for Amiens in Ligue 1. Fofana started his career at Le Havre B and after making 20 appearances for the club he joined Boulogne B in 2012. Due to the lack of first-team football, he moved to Lyon-Duchere in 2013 and the midfielder played 43 games for the club before joining Amiens in 2015.
The 184-cm-tall footballer has been playing for les Licornes ever since and it has to be noted that he scored three goals and provided three assists for his teammates in the 2016/2017 Ligue 2 campaign. Amiens enjoyed a very successful season and, as a result, they secured promotion to the French top flight.
Guessouma Fofana was born in Le Havre on December 17, 1992 and his preferred foot is right. His main position is central midfield, but he is capable of playing as a defensive midfielder as well. Fofana’s contract with Amiens expires on June 30, 2018.

Founded in December 1960, Maribor are the most successful Slovenian club. The Violets won their 14th SNL trophy in 2017, with the team finishing the season 13 points clear of second-placed Gorica. Maribor are the only Slovenian club which made it to the UEFA Champions League group stages (2013/2014), but the likes of Chelsea, Schalke and Sporting Lisbon proved to be a big catch for the Slovenian champions.
The Violets collected only three points from possible 18 in the process and four years later they repeated the success, with the team eliminating Hapoel Be’er Sheva in the Champions League play-offs. Maribor will face the likes of Spartak Moscow, Sevilla and Liverpool in Group E. Speaking of the club’s main rivals, there have always been fireworks in clashes between Maribor and Olimpija Ljubljana.
The two teams face each other in the “Eternal derby” (Vecni derbi) and they represent the two biggest cities in Slovenia. Maribor are well known for their violet for their violet shirts with yellow stripes. Ljudski vrt is the club’s home ground.
