Our prediction for this League 2 match:
Buoyed by back-to-back wins over Salford City and Carlisle United, Stockport County will be aiming to keep on climbing the standings when they face Sutton in the League Two round 17. The newcomers quickly bounced back from a 3-1 loss to Grimsby Town, with the team looking solid at the back. Since Stockport are likely to rely on their rock-solid defence against Sutton, a low-scoring affair is on the cards at Edgeley Park.
The visitors, on the other hand, are undefeated in the previous three league fixtures. Sutton and Stockport seem to be evenly matched at the moment, and, taking everything into account, the share of spoils is on the cards. Experienced midfielder Craig Eastmond has yet to recover from the injury he suffered against Walsall, but head coach Matt Gray has no fresh injury worries ahead of Saturday’s game.
