Our prediction for this Europa Conference League match:
There will be fireworks when Gent and Molde face each other at Ghelamco Arena in what is expected to be one of the most interesting games of Thursday’s program. Following back-to-back defeats to Djurgarden, Gent shared the spoils with Shamrock Rovers in their last group match, and, as a result, they face a must-win situation against Molde. Keep in mind, though, that all Castro-Montes, De Sart, Hanche-Olsen, Lemajic, and Tissoudali missed the 1-1 draw with Leuven at the weekend.
The Norwegians, on the other hand, impressed in a splendid 4-1 win over Viking at the weekend. Since the visitors are likely to stick to their attacking style of play, we believe that there is a big value in betting on over 2.5 goals. All Ellingsen, Haraldseid, Sinyan, and Ulland-Andersen are out of contention through injuries for the away team.
Highlighted Player (Michael Ngadeu Ngadjui):
Michael Ngadeu-Ngadjui is a Cameroon international who plays for Slavia Prague as a defender. Ngadjui started his career at the youth team of Diables Rouges Maroua and in 2007 he moved to Canon Yaounde. The 190-cm tall footballer continued playing for Diables Rouges Maroua at senior level and in 2010 he joined German lower-league side Kirchhorder SC.
At the end of the 2010/2011 he moved to fellow German club SV Sandhausen II and in 2012 he signed a contract with Nurnberg. After making 54 appearances for the reserve team he moved to Romania, signing a deal with Botosani. Michal Ngadeu Ngadjui scored seven goals in 53 league games for the Romanian side before joining Slavia Prague in 2016.
The Cameroonian footballer, who was born in Bafang on November 23, 1990, won the national championship with Slavia Prague in the 2016/2017, but the capital club eventually failed to make it to the Champions League group stages. His main position is centre back, but he is used as a defensive midfielder as well.
Highlighted Team (Molde):
Based in Molde, Norway, Molde FK are one of the most successful Eliteserien clubs of the century. The Blues won their fourth domestic championship in 2019, with the team finishing the process 14 points clear of second-place Bodo.
However, Molde failed to defend their trophy the following season as Bodo looked unstoppable in the Norwegian top flight. Speaking of the Norwegian Cup, the Blues clinched their fourth silverware in 2014, with the team beating Odd 2-0 in the title game. The Eliteserien outfit play home games at Aker Stadion, the venue with the capacity of 11,249 spectators.
Thanks to a second-place finish in the 1998 Eliteserien campaign, Molde qualified for the Champions League for the first time ever. As a result, the likes of Real, Porto, and Olympiakos visited Norway. Molde are well known for their blue shirts and white shorts, with the team wearing white jerseys and blue shorts when playing on the road.
