Our prediction for this FA Cup match:
Woking and Oxford United take on each other at the Laithwaite Community Stadium in the FA Cup replay. Woking are on a four-game winning run in the National League, and they are likely to rely on their rock-solid defence in Wednesday’s clash. With no fresh injury worries to report, boss Darren Sarll is unlikely to make changes to the team that defeated Boreham Wood at the weekend. A man to watch in the home team will be key attacker Reece Grego-Cox, who scored the winner against Luke Garrard’s troops.
The Yellows, on the other hand, rolled over Port Vale 4-0 in their last league match, and it is no wonder the bookies see them as favourites to win the FA Cup replay. All Kyle Joseph, Djavan Anderson, and Sam Long have been struggling with injuries of late, speaking of the away team. Anyhow, under 2.5 goals betting option should be considered as both sides looked solid at the back in their last league fixtures.
Highlighted Player (Yanic Wildschut):
Yanic-Sonny Wildschut is a Dutch football player who was born in Amsterdam on 1 November, 1991. He was part of Ajax academy during his youth career and he made his senior debut for Zwolle in the Jupiler League. After playing 33 matches for Zwolle, the pacey winger joined VVV-Venlo on 29 June, 2011 and in 2013 he moved to Heerenveen.
He was soon sent on loan to ADO Den Haag and after making seven appearances for the club, he joined English side Middlesbrough on 1 September, 2014. Wildschut scored his first goal for the Boro in a 3-0 victory over Rotherham on 1 November, 2014. However, he played just 12 games for Middlesbrough in the Championship.
On 2 October, 2015 he was sent on loan to Wigan Athletic and three months later he signed a permanent deal with the Latics. You should have in mind that Yanic has 10 caps for Netherlands U21 team. Wildschut is a winger, but he is capable of playing as a centre forward as well.
Highlighted Team (Oxford United):
Oxford United are one of the oldest clubs in the League One as they were founded back in 1893. However, Oxford United adopted their current name 67 years later and have been playing under it ever since.
Over the years the Yellows have built a great rivalry with Swindon Town and there have always been fireworks in clashes between the two sides. Oxford United play home matches at Kassam Stadium, the venue with the capacity of 12,500. The stadium was built in 1997 and has been Oxford United’s home ground ever since. The Boys from Up the Hill are well known for their yellow and blue colours, but they play their away games in dark blue (with a little yellow) or black kits.
Oxford’s player with the most league appearances is John Shuker, playing 478 games for the club from 1962 to 1977. On the other hand, Jim Magilton is the club’s most capped player in internationals, playing 18 games for Northern Ireland.
