Wednesday’s football game at Stade de la Meinau pits together Strasbourg and Lens, the two teams with entirely different ambitions in the 2022/2023 Ligue 1 season. Le Racing are having a season to forget, with the team sitting in the relegation zone with only 11 points in their pocket, but the hope dies last. Since Strasbourg are likely to adopt an attack-minded approach in the midweek clash, we believe that Lens will have a number of opportunities to score on the break.
The visitors did well to beat star-studded PSG in their last league match, and given their fine display in the Coupe de France triumph over Linas-Montlhery, we predict that Les Sang et Or are going to pick up all three points from Wednesday’s game. Salis Abdul Samed misses out through suspension, while all Buksa, Cabot, and Farinez are sidelined with injuries.

Alexander Djiku is yet another product of Bastia youth school. Djiku’s main position is centre-back, but he is used as a right-back as well. The 182-cm tall footballer of Senegalese descent made his senior debut with Bastia in December 2013 in a Coupe de la Ligue game against Evian.
After scoring one goal in 45 appearances for les Bleus in the league, Djiku joined Ligue 1 side Caen on July 11, 2017, signing a four-year contract with the Stade Michel D’Ornano outfit. The French defender has a contract with Caen, which should expire on June 30, 2022.
Djiku is well known for his reckless tackles and it is important to note that he was shown 10 yellow cards in 28 appearances for Caen in the 2017/2018 Ligue 1 campaign. Alexander Djiku wears No. 24 jersey when playing for Caen, but he has yet to make his debut with the French national team.

Based in the Pas-De-Calais department, Lens is a French club that plays home games at Stade Bollaert-Delelis. The Sang et Or are well known for their red shirts with yellow stripes, while black is the dominant colour of their away jersey.
The club was founded back in 1906 and the Sang et Or originally played in green and black shirts. Speaking of their home ground, Stade Bollaert-Delelis can hold up to 38,058 spectators. The venue was opened back in 1933, and renovated during the 2014/15 season. Lens did well to win the Ligue 1 trophy in the 1997/98 season, with the team finishing the process level on points with second-place Metz.
As a result, the Sang et Or represented France in the Champions League group stages the following season. The club’s biggest European success came in the 1999/00 season when they made it to the UEFA Cup semis. Lens have won two Coupe de la Ligue trophies as well.
