Southampton will be aiming to recover from the EFL Cup defeat to Newcastle United when they take on Blackpool in the FA Cup round 4. The Saints are not enjoying a season to remember, with the team fighting hard to secure the Premier League survival, and, no doubt, a win over Blackpool will help them regain a much-needed confidence. Moussa Djenepo limped off with injury in the midweek defeat, with Adam Armstrong likely to step up.
The Seasiders, on the other hand, rolled over Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup last 64, and they surely want to claim yet another major scalp in the prestigious competition. Blackpool, though, are not regarded as good travellers, and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Southampton’s party at St. Mary’s Stadium. All Bridcutt, Ekipiteta, Fiorini, Anderson, Lawrence-Gabriel, and Stewart remain on the sidelines with injuries, speaking of the Championship side.

Theo James Walcott is an English football player with roots from Jamaica born on 16th of March 1989 in London. Walcott started his football career for AFC Newbury and after scoring over 100 goals in his first season Southampton signed the young Walcott. After 2 seasons playing for the Saints scoring 4 goals in 21games Arsenal transferred Walcott to London for approximately 12 million GBP where he signed a 1 million GBP per year contract by the age of 17.
Walcott is known for being a very fast right-winger but is able to play as a striker as well. Walcott can be used very effectively to set up a counter attack but is the type of offensive player that is very dependant on the rest of the team.
Despite his young age Walcott made his debut for the English national team in May 2006 and played for over 40 games in the national team already. One of Walcott’s biggest weaknesses are his height (only 173cm) and the fact he get’s injured very quickly. Walcott won the FA Cup in 2013/2014 and 2014/15 with Arsenal and the Community Shield in 2015. During the World Cup in 2014 Walcott was injured.

Blackpool FC are a professional English club based in Blackpool, Lancashire. Considering that Blackpool is a seaside town, it is no surprise they are nicknamed the Seasiders. Founded back in 1887, the club play their home matches at Bloomfield Road, which can hold up to 17,338 spectators. In the 2009/2010 season Blackpool secured promotion to the Premier League, but they were not competitive at this level, suffering relegation to the Championship the following season.
The club’s biggest success, though, came in 1953 when they defeated Bolton Wanderers 4-3 in the FA Cup final. Blackpool are well known for their orange shirts, but the dominant colour of their away kit is white. Preston are considered the club’s biggest rivals, with the two teams facing each other in the West Lancashire derby.
Charlie Adam, who played for Liverpool and has 26 caps for Scotland national team, is regarded as one of the club’s most notable players.
