Our prediction for this Premier League match:
Friday’s football game between Nottingham Forest and Tottenham will open round 17 of the new Premier League campaign. Following four consecutive defeats, the Reds shared the spoils with Wolverhampton in their last league match and, no doubt, they want to return to winning ways as soon as possible. Both Scott McKenna and Joe Worrall are banned for the match, while Taiwo Awoniyi remains in the recovery room.
Spurs, on the other hand, produced a brilliant display in a 4-1 win over Newcastle United, with Korea ace Son one against proving his worth. Tottenham are more of a team than Forest and we predict that the capital club will give fans yet another reason to celebrate this weekend. Brazil forward Richarlison returned to the starting XI at the weekend, while all Rodrigo Bentacur, James Maddison, Ivan Perisic, and Ryan Sessegnon remain in the treatment room.
Highlighted Player (Heung-min Son):
Over the years Son Heung-Min has established himself as one of the best Asian footballers. Son is a Tottenham Hotspur first-team regular and he played a very important role in Mauro Pochettino’s team in the 2017/2018 Premier League campaign, scoring 12 goals, while making 37 appearances in the process.
The South Korean footballer, who is well known for his speed and a very powerful shot, was born in Chuncheo on 8 July 1992 and he began his youth career at FC Seoul. In 2008 he moved to Hamburger SV, but he made his senior debut for the Bundesliga club two years later. In 2013 he signed a deal with fellow German side Bayer Leverkusen and he scored 21 goals in 62 appearances in the Bundesliga for the BayArena outfit.
In 2015 he signed a five-year contract with Spurs for a fee of £22 million. Son Heung-min made his South Korea debut in a friendly against Syria in 2010.
Highlighted Team (Nottingham Forest):
Nottingham Forest, the club that are often referred to as Forest, were formed in 1865. They have been playing their home games at the City Ground since 1898 and the capacity of the stadium is 30,445. Nottingham Forest are regarded as one of the greatest English clubs as they won the European Cup on two occasions. In 1979 Forest outplayed Malmo (1-0) at the Olympiastadion in Munich in the final of the elite competition, with the team beating Hamburg in 1980 in the title game at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu (1-0).
Nottingham Forest won the national championship in the 1977/1978 season, with the team finishing the campaign seven points clear of second-placed Liverpool. To make things even better for the fans, the City Ground outfit clinched the FA Cup trophies in 1898 and 1959. Derby County are regarded as Forest’s bitterest rivals and the two local rivals contest in the East Midlands derby. In their first ever meeting in the local derby Forest recorded a 3-2 win over Derby County.
