Our prediction for this Bundesliga match:
Saturday’s football game at Vonovia Ruhrstadion pits together Bochum and Leipzig, the two teams with entirely different ambitions for the remainder of the season. Bochum are determined to secure yet another Bundesliga survival and they are safe for now, eight points clear of the relegation zone. Both Hofmann and Schlotterbeck are pushing for recalls to the starting XI after the duo got their names on the scoresheet in a 5-2 loss to Borussia M’gladbach, while both Erhan Masovic and Manuel Riemann are banned for the match.
The Red Bulls, on the other hand, were on the verge of sharing the spoils with Bayern Munich at Allianz Arena, but Harry Kane’s late goal eventually helped the Bavarians pick up all three points from the match. Anyhow, Leipzig are more of a team than Bochum and given the number of absentees in the home team, we believe that there is a big value in betting on Lois Openda and Co. Keep in mind, though, that midfielder Xaver Schlager is banned for the visiting team.
Highlighted Player (Dani Olmo):
After starting his youth career at Espanyol, Dani Olmo moved to fellow Catalan side Barcelona in 2007 at the age of nine. The Spanish player born in Terrasa on May 7, 1998 then moved to Dinamo Zagreb, where he established himself as a first-team regular.
Dani Olmo was on the verge of leaving the Croatian club in the summer of 2019, but he eventually stayed at Stadion Maksimir. Olmo is one of the most talented footballers in Spain and he helped the U21 team clinch the Euro 2019 trophy. La Furia Roja defeated Germany in the final of the tournament, with Olmo being named Man of the match.
The Spanish attacking midfielder, who is used as a winger as well, was named the Croatian First Football League player of the year for 2018. His preferred foot is right and he has a contract with Dinamo Zagreb until June 30, 2021.
Highlighted Team (Leipzig):
Leipzig are a professional football club founded in 2009. Die Bullen (The Bulls) were unbeaten in the 2012/2013 Regionalliga Nordost and, as a result, they secured promotion to the 3. Liga. After finishing the 2013/2014 as 3rd. Liga campaign in second place in the standings, Leipzig were promoted to the 2. Bundesliga and they competed in the German second tier for two seasons.
Despite suffering a loss to Karlsruher on the last day of the 2015/2016 round in the 2. Bundesliga campaign, die Bullen secured promotion to the Bundesliga for the first time ever. Leipzig play their home games at Red Bull Arena (42,959) and it has to be noted that the stadium was opened in 1954.
Die Bullen wear white shirts and red shorts while their away kit is blue and yellow. Ralph Hasenhuttl was appointed as the team’s manager at the end of the 2015/2016 season and you should know that the likes of Ralf Rangnick, Achim Beierlorzer, Alexander Zorniger, Peter Pacult, Tomas Oral and Tino Vogel were in charge of the team in the past as well.
